Like many people, I enjoy watching the takeoff and landing in full length as I feel it makes a video very immersive.  But I also realise that I’m in a very limited minority who enjoy a 60 second pause in the video while we watch the entire takeoff or landing. The viewer retention statistics say it all – on average 70% of viewers click off the video entirely when confronted with an elongated takeoff or landing clip.  This is why you’ll find most video creators choose to either timelapse the takeoff or landing, or chop parts out of it.  It simply causes too much harm to the videos.
